Q. Do I have to be a member of ICAEW to attend one of the leadership programmes?
A. No, all of our leadership programmes are open to anybody looking to improve their leadership skills.
Q. Do I have to be an ACA?
A. No, we welcome delegates with any finance qualification or background.
Q. What if I can’t make all of the sessions?
A. We understand that our F-TEN® delegates are extremely busy individuals and it’s not always possible to move priorities around, but we advise our delegates to work out a way to attend as many sessions as possible in order to make the most of their investment in the F-TEN® programme.
Q. How is my mentor selected?
A. Participants select their top three choices from a list of mentor and coach biographies. Following this, the ICAEW Academy team will organise an ‘on-boarding’ call with the participant to discuss their choices and objectives for the programme in more detail. This is to ensure their development needs are matched appropriately with the mentor’s or coach’s expertise. Next, ICAEW arrange a ‘chemistry call’ between the first choice mentor or coach and the participant. If the participant is happy to move forwards with their first choice, their mentor is then confirmed, otherwise we can set up a chemistry call with their second or third choice, as necessary.
