The Audit Quality Forum session on 24 April addressed the audit implications of enhancing reliability together with a panel debate on how to improve of audit communication and reporting, and the need for innovation.

Roger Hodgkinson, ICAEW Executive Director – Technical, updated the forum on the issue and proposed actions arising from the forthcoming paper “Enhancing reliability: implications for audit”
The panel debate on communication and audit or reporting was chaired by Charles Bowman, AQF Chair. Panellists included: Richard Fleck, FRC; Jon Grant, IAASB; Gillian Lord, ICAEW Financial Services Faculty; and Myles Thompson, ICAEW Audit & Assurance Faculty.
Henry Irving, ICAEW Audit & Assurance Faculty reviewed the themes from the AQF debate on audit quality and outlined the need for further innovation
