David leads ICAEWs public policy engagement, including most recent on the UK government’s Industrial Strategy and the Patient Capital Review. He initiated and led a taskforce of 22 of the UK’s leading business organisations, including the British Business Bank, to devise the Business Finance Guide. David also led a high profile initiative with HM Government together with London Stock Exchange, the Takeover Panel, AFME and other organisations, on Cyber Security in Corporate Finance.
David is an experienced corporate financier. Formerly with PwC, he has advised on numerous corporate finance transactions, from smaller buyouts to large capital markets transactions, as well as infrastructure project and complex outsourcing contracts. Under David’s leadership the Corporate Finance Faculty has grown to include more than 7,000 professionals in more than 80 member organisations.
David holds a BSc (Jt Hons.) from the University of Durham, an MBA with distinction from the University of Bath, and the ICAEW’s Diploma in Corporate Finance.

Shaun contributes to ICAEW's public policy initiatives, advisory work and communications, particularly in the areas of entrepreneurship, ‘access to finance’, scale-up businesses and venture capital. He devised and co-authored: Creative Industries – Routes to Finance (with the support of 52 government, creative and commercial organisations); Boosting Finance for Engineering & Technology (with the IET); and UK Television in Focus (with PwC).
Shaun chairs of Immerse UK's access to finance, funding and investment working group. He is also member of the 'Financing Growth' group of the UK government-sponsored Creative Industries Council. He has spoken at events organised by the British Business Bank, Central Saint Martins – University of the Arts London, Creative Entrepreneurs, Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, Enterprise Europe Network, Fast Forward London, Immerse UK, PwC, and the Westminster Policy Forum. He previously worked in research at BDO in London and was deputy editor of Real Deals, the international private equity and venture capital magazine.

Katerina joined in October 2006 as Manager, Capital Markets Policy to help develop thought leadership in corporate finance technical and regulatory issues, to engage with and understand the needs of practitioners and to prepare best practice guidance.
Katerina has most recently worked as a freelance business writer/consultant. Key projects have included work for Thomson Group (Consult Gee), Wolterskluwer and the ICAEW’s Audit and Assurance Faculty.
Katerina qualified as an ACA with Touche Ross & Co, London in 1994.
