Business tax problem areas
This course will examine the issues and errors encountered by businesses and identified by HMRC, including the consequences of these errors, in areas such as directors loan accounts, capital allowances and benefits in kind.
FRS 102 (1A) and FRS 105 common issues for small and micro entities
This course considers common issues arising from the adoption of FRS 102 (1A) and FRS 105 including the differences in accounting treatment and disclosure requirements, in areas such as filing issues, abridged/filleted accounts and directors and related party transactions.
Capital Gains Tax – a current perspective/refresher
This course will provide a refresher of key issues in CGT planning as well as considering the impact of recent changes. Areas covered include key planning issues on Entrepreneurs’ Relief, PPR relief, and rollover and deferral reliefs and other CGT issues on selling shares.
Topical tax issues
An update on developments in direct taxation over the previous 6-12 months and issues of current concern, together with highlights of the tax planning opportunities available.
In addition to reviewing general VAT changes in the last 12 months, this course will provide you with an insight into the hot topics HMRC are currently looking at in the VAT arena, so that you can identify pertinent clients and add some value to your services.
