ICAEW has appointed Harpreet Panesar as its new London and East regional director. Prior to her appointment, Harpreet was the business manager for Sharron Gunn, executive director for members, commercial and shared services at ICAEW, where she helped launch the ICAEW Business Advice Service (BAS).

Harpreet joined ICAEW in 2001 as a graduate trainee, and has since worked in a wide range of areas including events, finance, marketing and communications. She is passionate about small businesses and understands how important SME growth is to the UK’s economic success and how, in tough times, small businesses need the right guidance and support to succeed.

In her new role, Harpreet aims to raise the profile of ICAEW with members and key external stakeholders, to support members in their careers and deliver ICAEW strategy locally.

Harpreet will be taking over from Andrea Dunhill, who has been London and South East regional director at ICAEW since May 2013.

At the same time, Veronica Zabrini has been appointed as regional manager for London and East. Veronica will be working with Harpreet to deliver regional objectives, and help manage, support and develop London and East regional executives to enable them to achieve their objectives in line with ICAEW strategy, while developing relationships with district society office holders and volunteers.

Prior to her appointment, Veronica was commercial executive at ICAEW and operations executive for the London area. Prior to joining ICAEW she worked with the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, which leads international effort to defeat hunger.
