ICAEW re-opens Great Hall
Following an extensive refurbishment programme, the Great Hall at One Moorgate Place has re-opened as a versatile conference space mixing the cultural heritage of the Grade II Chartered Accountants’ Hall with the very latest in audio-visual technology.
Last month ICAEW at One Moorgate Place has re-opened its largest event space, at a celebratory launch that also revealed Searcy’s new spring menu at this prestigious venue.
One Moorgate Place, also known as Chartered Accountants’ Hall, has been headquarters to ICAEW since 1893. The venue, a grade II listed building, exuding character, charm and heritage has a range of diverse spaces with a fascinating mix of architectural styles.
The Great Hall has been transformed into a modern space with wall to wall draping and floor length lights that can illuminate the room with a twinkly glow. The fresh, contemporary hall is a versatile space for conferences with AV technology and large projectors allowing for up to three screens so that users can adapt the space to their requirements.
Sharron Gunn, ICAEW Executive Director said: “One Moorgate Place is a unique venue which brings together over 120 years of tradition with state of the art conference and events facilities. It is a venue that retains an exciting blank canvas appeal, which means this is a versatile space that can be adapted depending on the event.
“I hope everyone was able to enjoy exploring this captivating building and experience the unique mix of cultural heritage, and contemporary and modern design to get a real idea of what an event at One Moorgate Place feels like right in the heart of the City of London.”
