On Monday 21 May 2018 the community will officially be launched at an event at Chartered Accountants’ Hall in London. Key note speakers at the London launch include Alex Brooker, journalist, presenter and comedian best known for The Last Leg on Channel 4, and Sarah Churchman OBE who has passionately led PwC’s diversity and inclusion agenda for over 15 years.

Book your place at this free event.

Guests will also hear personal diversity stories from members who have faced and overcome diversity challenges in their professional and personal lives.

As revealed in the recently published ICAEW research report Diversity and the Accounting Profession, it is clear that most employers see improving diversity as not just a legal imperative but that it has ethical, social and commercial value. Many firms and businesses acknowledge that there are long-term benefits around legitimacy, professional ethics, trust creation and future recruitment.

But, while firms see the benefits, they do not always have the resources to develop initiatives.

The community aims to offer resources and support to individual members, and share guidance on best practices with smaller firms and businesses. The first phase includes the publication of a resource page featuring case studies, examples of best practice and resources to support the diversity community.
