Discover how to utilise the power of the personal

On 30 October, in association with Metro Bank, the ICAEW’s London and South East regional team are hosting a lunchtime event with professional services adviser Liz Whitaker, who will set out her top tips on how you can utilise the power of personal communications to engage, persuade and inspire the people around you.

The Power of Personal: How to Connect, Convince, and Create Exceptional Client Relationships, Liz Whitaker

September 2019

In highly competitive markets where there is a financial or reputational risk to the client, trust is paramount and relationships are everything.

It is a fact that people buy from people; they always have and always will. They also work for people, vote for people, donate to people and get behind people.

Liz Whitaker, an expert in communication, is holding an interactive session in which she will share some insights into her bestselling book. These will include how you can prepare for success, prioritise your external and internal stakeholders and personalise your communications. You will leave the session with at least one new idea you can put into practice when you return to your office.

Whitaker has over 30 years’ experience working in and around professional services, showing them how to use communications to win more business, retain and recruit top talent. She has identified over 100 reasons why organisations spend time and money on marketing communications but don’t achieve ROI and so has created a seven-stage process to avoid and overcome all those reasons.

Her in-house and consultancy roles for accountancy firms include KPMG, Grant Thornton, Saffery Champness and Crowe. Liz also works closely with finance directors in all her work.

The event will take place at Metro Bank, One Southampton Row, London, WC1B 5HA on 30 October at 12pm. Click on the link below for more details:
