North Staffordshire Society of Chartered Accountants
The Society was formed in 1954 to bring together chartered accountants based in Stoke-on-Trent and outlying areas as a forum for members to share views and experiences working within the local business community.
Over the years the membership has covered chartered accountants either living or working in the wider area of both North Staffordshire and South Cheshire.
The Society still aims to provide the same service and focal point for ICAEW members in North Staffordshire and South Cheshire. Our Society is also part of a larger District Society which has similar branches in Wolverhampton and Shropshire. The three branches comprise the Staffs, Salop and Wolverhampton Society of Chartered Accountants. The District Society is represented on the governing Council of the Institute and contributes to the ICAEW’s policy formulation.
All members living or working in our area would be very welcome to get involved in any way they can either at the branch or district level.
Benefits of participating in the North Staffs Society
- Meeting other members of the ICAEW either in business or practice.
- Participation in discussion groups
- Attending occasional social events with partners
- Becoming involved in the process of governance and policy making for ICAEW
Our committee meetings are currently held as part of the wider District Society which take place four times a year. The meetings are normally held at The Moat House, Acton Trussell or from time to time in one of the three branch areas.
