Zoe Amar is one of the charity sector’s leading digital experts. She founded digital agency and social enterprise Zoe Amar Digital in 2013, is Chair of The Charity Digital Code of Practice, and produces an annual barometer of how charities across the UK are using digital, The Charity Digital Skills Report.

As a VAT specialist with over 17 years of charity experience, Parul has worked with a wide range of charities across the country. She has a technical specialism in partial exemption and business/non-business issues, and has advised on barter transactions, the scope of the fundraising exemption and litigation on the meaning of consideration.

After working in the UK in corporate finance, and in Nairobi on aid assignments, Don has specialised in charities for the last thirty years, leading the BDO charity team. During that time he has acted for many of the largest and best known charities in the UK, covering healthcare, international, animal welfare, arts and Christian organisations.

Ben Carter has worked as a communications, fundraising and campaigns lead for over twenty years. During this time, he has had the privilege to serve organisations at the leading edge of their fields including charities, tech-for good start-ups, political movements and public sector bodies. Ben has been at Derbyshire Wildlife Trust since 2019, where he is Director of Development.

Dan leads the External Communications and Sustainability team, holding responsibility for the Bank’s ESG and sustainability strategy, Ethical Policy and Net Zero commitments.

Keith specialises in helping organisations develop and implement technology and digital strategies, with a particular focus on innovations in customer-facing technology. With experience working as a consultant, supplier and charity customer, Keith has worked with hundreds of non-profits across the UK and Europe to help them improve engagement with supporters, members, volunteers and staff.

Luke advises corporates, charities, social entrepreneurs, B Corps, philanthropists and investors seeking to make a positive difference. His practice involves structuring, governance, commercial and regulatory matters for clients who want to solve problems for people and planet. Luke acted in the Butler-Sloss case, which is central to the new CC14.

Grant started his career in finance technology nearly 18 years ago in sunny South Africa. He currently works as a Senior Solution Consultant for the Sage Intacct team, dedicated to the not-for-profit and healthcare sectors for customers across the UK and Ireland.

Jill has over 25 years’ experience working in the not-for-profit sector. She specialises in audit and advisory work (particularly governance reviews). She is a member of the ICAEW Charity Committee, an experienced tutor and runs training courses for charity finance professionals including Civil Society and CFG.

Naziar is Crowe’s National Head of Social Purpose & Non Profit Organisations. In addition to providing assurance services Naziar also provides advisory services to a range of charities. She also carries out training for charities and lectures and writes on a range of topics relevant to Trustees and management.

Ruth chairs the steering group for Pro Bono OR, a service run by the UK's Operational Research Society to introduce volunteers with expertise in analytics, OR, data science, systems thinking and AI, to charities that request their help. She is currently Chair of The CHIRP Charitable Trust.

Dave has recently joined Age UK as their Head of Data. Prior to this, he lead the Strategic Intelligence team at the Trussell Trust who provide high quality data and intelligence to help guide and shape the direction of the organisation. Whether this is business intelligence, data exploration, data visualisation, and using data from within and without the organisation, this team help the whole organisation engage meaningfully with data.

Ian is the founder of Charity Excellence, a free one-stop-shop for anything a non-profit needs which also holds the system’s charity sector Big Data. Its first AI service launched in late 2022 and followed this with several more to catalyse widespread adoption of AI throughout the sector.

Daisy is the Senior Director of Big Bets at Good Innovation, the social impact innovation consultancy. Her career has spanned television news, edu-tech startups, and charity strategy & innovation. With over 15 years’ experience in innovation, Daisy now leads on foresight and trends through Good Futures, and building cross-sector collaborations.

Rob has over 15 years’ experience supporting the charity and not-for-profit sectors to achieve their goals and ambitions. 

Mark trained as a chef and enjoyed a 25-year career in hospitality. In parallel with his career in the London food scene, Mark and his wife Zivi have spent 25 years pursuing their philanthropic interests through their grant giving charity, the Mark Leonard Trust, one of the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts.

Kate has recently retired from her role as the Director of Integrity & Ethics at Oxfam. Before that, Kate was a partner in Sayer Vincent, a professional firm focussing solely on social purpose organisations. Kate has 40 years’ experience of trying to work out what it means to be ethical.

Helen joined the Charity Commission as CEO in July 2017. Helen has extensive experience of senior leadership across the public and voluntary sectors, having previously served as Director of Early Years and Childcare at the Department of Education and Director of the Office for Civil Society.

Alison joined CAF Bank as Chief Executive Officer in December 2019 and in 2021, she assumed responsibility for CAF’s Charity Services proposition in addition to her role with CAF Bank. She is principally responsible for driving the transformation of the products and services CAF Bank delivers to UK charities.

Clare joined Brooke in 2018 and is responsible for leading and facilitating its strategic direction, and understanding and reporting on impact. Clare has over 15 years' experience in the charity and public sectors in a variety of senior international strategy, planning and management roles.

Vikki leads the delivery of tax services to not-for-profit clients, specialising in corporation tax and Gift Aid. She has over 15 years’ experience in corporate tax and Gift Aid for the not-for-profit sector at BDO and the Big 4, and leads BDO’s relationship with the Charity Tax Group.

Daniel leads PwC's charities audit team and leads the firm's thought leadership for the charity sector. He is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Public Finance Accountant and holds the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting.

Kristina is a Chartered Accountant who has worked in and for the Not-for-Profit sector for over 15 years. She trained at charity specialists Sayer Vincent and subsequently worked in finance roles at the Royal College of Nursing, Imperial College London and the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts. In her spare time, she is a charity trustee and treasurer.
