Jenny Carter Director of Accounting & Reporting Policy, Financial Reporting Council Jenny leads the development and implementation of the Financial Reporting Council’s (FRC) strategy for standards and related guidance in respect of Corporate Reporting. This includes the FRC’s work on the financial reporting standards applicable in the UK and Ireland (UK GAAP) and other corporate reporting guidance. She rejoined the FRC in 2010 and, prior to her current role, had been the FRC’s Director of UK Accounting Standards.

Peter has a professional practice background with 20 years’ training experience, specialising in financial reporting, auditing and company law, as well as commercial awareness and business skills. Peter is a founding director of Insight Training. He has a small practice, providing advice to mid-tier and small accountancy practices on aspects of accounting, auditing and practice regulation.

Danielle is Head of the national service line, Financial Accounting Advisory, at RSM and is deeply involved in the on-going development of Financial Reporting in the UK and globally. Danielle is also Vice Chair of ICAEW’s Financial Reporting Committee. In 2013, Danielle received an OBE for services to accountancy and business.

Alex provides technical advice and training focused on IFRS, FRS 102, and company law relevant to corporate reporting covering regions from Truro to Bristol to Southampton.

Simon is responsible for developing and maintaining HAT’s methodologies covering corporate entities, as well as writing and presenting CPD courses covering relevant topical issues, such as changes to accounting and auditing standards, for a wide range of accountants and auditors across the country. He performs a number of hot and cold audit file reviews, focussing on larger and more complex entities.

Natalie trained and qualified in practice within a mid-tier firm with experience working across various service lines. Following this she moved to a larger firm to work in external audit for a wide range of clients from owner managed businesses to listed companies before joining ICAEW as a Professional Consultant in the Technical Advisory services team.

Julia served as President of ICAEW in 2022–23 and has held senior governance roles across ICAEW since 2013, including Chair of the Board and membership of key committees. Outside of this volunteer ICAEW involvement Julia is a well-known speaker and writer on audit, financial reporting, anti-money laundering and wider issues impacting the profession. 

Henry is responsible for delivery of all Companies Act related policy changes relating to the filing of accounts. The policy team works closely with colleagues in the Department of Business and Trade and other cross-Government partners to support the implementation of the new Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 and to ensure Companies House systems and processes are compliant with the law.
