Iain has 20 years of investing multi-asset portfolios at Netwealth, UBS and Schroders. Experience with institutional and HNW clients across active and passive strategies. Iain has been a CFA charter holder since 2003.
A member of ICAEW’s Personal Financial Planning Advisory Group, Richard established a successful fee-based wealth planning business, selling a stake in 2016 to Stonehage Fleming. He further built the group’s private client financial planning arm before leaving in 2019 to establish Tether, which is launching personal financial planning software for accountants.
Luke joined Smith & Williamson in 2005 after attaining the AFPC qualification with Kingston Smith Chartered Accountants. As Head of Financial planning he advises private clients on their financial planning needs, specialising in pension funding and retirement planning.
Olivia joined Mazars’ Financial Planning Team in 2019. She holds the Investment Advice Diploma and Chartered MCSI status with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments. She looks after private clients and owner-managed businesses in pension and retirement planning, investment planning, protection and tax planning strategies.
John has 30 years' experience working with advisers to help them navigate the issues of retirement and estate planning. Most recently, he was Commercial Director at Fidelity International, responsible for the strategy for Fidelity Retirement Services. Previously, he was Product and Funds Director in the savings business of Legal and General.
Eric has more than 25 years’ experience as a qualified financial adviser and investment manager, with a particular interest in pension and retirement planning. He was previously a senior partner of a regional firm and latterly as the Managing Director of a successful discretionary investment manager.
Mark is a member of Prudential's Technical team, based in Edinburgh. He has worked in the industry since 1998 and has held a variety of roles in financial planning, including: mortgage packaging, sales support, paraplanner, IFA and business assurance.
Charlotte has spearheaded Octopus’ professional connections initiatives for three years supporting financial advisers, accountants and solicitors develop their referral relationships. Having worked closely with professional bodies, such as ICAEW, STEP and SOLLA, Charlotte has a wealth of experience in championing successful referral relationships.
Kate is passionate that many problems in the residential property market can be solved if the media, industry and government work together to educate consumers on how to carry out property projects. To aid this, she has set up Propertychecklists and working groups for Home Buying and Selling and The Lettings Industry Council.
Paul is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Adviser, a member of STEP and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society who specialises in financial planning for high net worth individuals and families. He joined Smith & Williamson in 1996 and has 30 years of professional experience.
John oversees ICAEW’s PFP Community and ICAEW’s Personal Financial Planning Advisory Group. His role involves liaising with the FCA and other regulators, working across different areas of ICAEW and with external stakeholders. He began his career as a private client stockbroker and investment manager before working as an independent financial adviser.
Having started his career as a private banker in Canada, Ian relocated to the UK in 2002. He has spent 12 years as a mortgage broker specialising in £1m+ residential and buy-to-let mortgages from the whole market. He is regularly quoted on mortgage industry topics in the Sunday Times and trade papers.
Chris joined the Quality Assurance Department of ICAEW in 2013, having previously been a senior manager in a regional practice working in audit, accounts and tax. He manages QAD’s probate monitoring and leading a team of reviewers who carry out practice assurance, audit and DPB monitoring visits.
James is MHA’s Head of Private Client and joined the firm in 2005. He covers a range of tax issues, both personal and corporate. Concentrating on owner-managed businesses, high-net-worth individuals and trusts, his expertise covers income tax, CGT and IHT planning, as well as the corporate and transactional tax issues
George joined Mazars in 2016 and is the Chief Economist at Mazars Wealth Management. He has 15 years’ experience in financial markets as an analyst, investment strategist, economist and fund manager. He has worked for asset managers EFG and Close Brothers, as well as wealth managers Alpha Bank, Eurobank and Marfin.
Jon has worked in financial services for more than 18 years, specialising in equity release mortgages for the last six years.
Alan retrained as a surveyor following a successful sales and marketing career, going on to achieve a Professional Diploma in Historic Building Conservation & Repair. As a founder member of RPSA, Alan became chairman in 2012 and has helped it grow to become the leading professional organisation for independent residential surveyors.
Dean joined ICAEW in 2016. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC and spent more than 20 years in the audit practice working with clients from small start-up techn businesses to larger listed groups. He also worked on several transactions, including IPO’s, fundraising and acquisitions.
David is responsible for reviews, manuals and technical queries service lines at Mercia. He joined SWAT UK in 2000 as an audit lecturer and reviewer. In 2014, he was appointed to the Board as Training Director before moving onto his current role when Mercia purchased SWAT UK in 2016.
After leaving KPMG in 1998 Jatin spent 12 years at Citibank Group as a Tax Director, working in the private bank on tax and wealth structuring for the bank’s UHNW and international clients. In 2010 Jatin moved to UBS as an Executive Director within Wealth Management, working in the Wealth Planning team.
Sam has more than 12 years’ experience advising and investing on behalf of HNW and UHNW clients, joining Netwealth in 2017 from EFG Asset Management. He is an Oxford University graduate, a CFA charter holder and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.
Farryl is a highly-experienced lending specialist having worked with a financial planning firm and as a mortgage broker over the past 12 years. He specialises in securing £1m+ residential mortgages and lending against property portfolios from mainstream banks, private banks, hedge funds and building societies for HNW and international clients.
Vince has worked in the financial services profession for over 30 years, and has experience as an IFA, as well as holding senior pension roles at Clerical Medical and Winterthur Life. He is an experienced presenter and a regular contributor to trade and national publications on matters relating to retirement.
Paul has worked in the long-term savings market for more than 20 years. Having worked in the pension and platform marketplace, he is the Head of Strategic Account Development responsible for building and managing the key partnerships with major UK advisory businesses, institutions and third parties.
Philip has been in financial services since 2003. He has worked in two private banks, a top-five accountancy practice and two smaller independent firms. He has a unique insight into the business and private sector, as well as working with accountants. He is a Fellow with the Chartered Institute of Insurance.
