Tutor conference 2015

On 5 and 6 February 2015, tutors, authors and examiners met at Chartered Accountants' Hall for the 2015 ICAEW tutor conference. Over 140 delegates from 26 different tutorial organisations recognised under the ICAEW Partner in Learning scheme attended the conference from around the world. For the first time ever, the conference was held over 2 days.

The conference focused on examiner-led workshops based on the exam setting and marking process and the assessment of ethics. During the workshops tutors marked real exam scripts from 2014 sittings and were provided with guidance from examiners as to how marks are allocated for knowledge and skills in each paper.

Tutors had direct access to the examiners throughout the day and were free to ask examiners and ICAEW staff any questions concerning the setting and marking of exams, the syllabus, learning materials and upcoming changes in the evolved ACA.
