Tutor Conference 2016

On 4 and 5 February 2016, tutors, authors and examiners met at Park Crescent Conference Centre for the 2016 ICAEW tutor conference. Over 160 delegates from different tutorial organisations recognised under the ICAEW Partner in Learning scheme attended the conference from around the world.

The conference focused on examiner-led workshops based on the exam setting and marking process and the assessment of ethics. During the workshops tutors marked real exam scripts from 2015 sittings and were provided with guidance from examiners as to how marks are allocated for knowledge and skills in each paper.

Tutors had direct access to the examiners throughout the day and were free to ask examiners and ICAEW staff any questions concerning the setting and marking of exams, the syllabus, learning materials and upcoming changes in the evolved ACA.
