Chartered Accountants' Hall- the first hundred years

Chartered Accountants' Hall- the first hundred years

BOYS, P.G.
London : ICAEW, 1990 (viii,88p.)

Last few copies of a numbered, limited edition (only 500 copies were ever produced).

'This superbly illustrated book has been produced in a limited edition of only 500 to commemorate the centenary of the building. It is a unique record, with over 100 beautiful illustrations in colour and black & white taken from the Institute's own archives. These include original architect's plans as well as paintings, sketches, prints and photographs spanning the last century.

The original building was a masterpiece of its time. However, a pressing need for more space as the Institute developed led to the addition of an equally impressive extension completed in 1970. The development from the 1890s to the present day is vividly described by Peter Boys of the University of Kent.

Each copy of the book is individually numbered and provides a unique memento of the history of this beautiful building.'
