The Pensions Advisory Service is an independent non-profit organisation that has provided information and guidance on pensions since 1983. The TPAS website provides a dedicated page on auto-enrolment and an auto-enrolment factsheet for workers (updated March 2017).

Labour Market Outlook: Focus on pension auto-enrolment 2014
Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Labour Market Outlook report focusing on auto-enrolment, summarising the findings from a survey of 1,080 private, public and voluntary sector employers. The survey looked at the organisational response to auto-enrolment, how much newly enrolled employees are contributing to their pensions and how companies have coped with the extra cost associated with auto-enrolment.
Pensions automatic enrolment: the lessons for small and medium-sized employers
A report from CIPD, published in December 2013, which looks at the challenges faced by small and medium-sized employers in the roll-out of auto-enrolment.
Pensions trends survey report
A regular survey from the Association of Consulting Actuaries which tracks trends in pension auto-enrolment across firms of all sizes. The 2018 report calls on the government to set out its long-term pensions policy on automatic enrolment contributions.
Smaller Firms' Pension Survey
A biennial survey from the Association of Consulting Actuaries which looks at pension trends in businesses with fewer than 250 employees. The 2016/17 survey found that 36-40% of employees of the smallest employers (employing fewer than 10 workers) are typically ineligible for auto-enrolment and 57% of the smallest employers say auto-enrolment is 'very complex'.
