The Pensions Advisory Service is an independent non-profit organisation that has provided information and guidance on pensions since 1983. The TPAS website provides a dedicated page on auto-enrolment and an auto-enrolment factsheet for workers (updated March 2017).

A Nest Insight 2019 report focusing on gender differences in retirement savings. The analysis of eight million Nest members supports the idea that structural factors in the UK labour market, rather than differences in savings behaviours, are at the root cause of the gender pensions gap.
Pensions trends survey report
A regular survey from the Association of Consulting Actuaries which tracks trends in pension auto-enrolment across firms of all sizes. The 2018 report calls on the government to set out its long-term pensions policy on automatic enrolment contributions.
Smaller Firms' Pension Survey
A biennial survey from the Association of Consulting Actuaries which looks at pension trends in businesses with fewer than 250 employees. The 2016/17 survey found that 36-40% of employees of the smallest employers (employing fewer than 10 workers) are typically ineligible for auto-enrolment and 57% of the smallest employers say auto-enrolment is 'very complex'.
