UK government department responsible for collecting and administering taxes. The website includes calculators, rate tables, forms and detailed guidance for consumers and tax professionals.

Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT)
Professional body representing qualified technicians specialising in UK tax, compliance and related activities. The website offers practical guidelines and information on professional standards.

Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT)
Professional body supporting advisers dealing with all aspects of taxation. The website include information on professional standards and policy documents.

First-tier Tribunal Tax Chamber and Upper Tribunal Tax and Chancery Chamber
The First-tier Tax Chamber hears appeals by individuals and organisations against decisions made by HMRC. The Upper Tribunal Tax and Chancery Chamber deals with decisions made in First-tier Tribunals and with issues relating to the Financial Conduct Authority and the Pensions Regulator. The website offers guidance on the appeals process and information on tribunal decisions.

Low Incomes Tax Reform Group (LITRG)
An initiative of the Chartered Institute Of Taxation (CIOT) aimed at supporting taxpayers on low incomes. It provides guidance for disabled people and their carers, low income workers, migrants, pensioners and students.

UK charity offering help and advice on tax issues to people on low incomes.

International

Asia Oceania Tax Consultants' Association (AOTCA)
Association of 20 professional tax bodies from 16 countries/regions of Asia and Oceania.

Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators (CATA)
International organisation focusing on the improvement of tax administration within the Commonwealth, particularly for developing countries.

CFE Tax Advisers Europe
Represents 26 national organisations from 21 European States.

European Association of Tax Law Professors (EATLP)
Professional organisation for tenured professors teaching tax law in European universities. The association holds an annual congress and confers the European Academic Tax Thesis Award jointly with the European Commission.

Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) [Centro Interamericano de Administraciones Tributarias]
Intergovernmental organisation supporting the strengthening and modernization of the tax administrations in the Americas.

International Tax Planning Association (ITPA)
Multi-disciplined association of accountants, lawyers and others with a practical interest in the tax aspects of cross-frontier transactions. The ITPA produces a Directory of Services ("the Green Book") for finding experts in different areas of taxation.

Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations (IOTA)
Intergovernmental organisation aiming to support and promote co-operation between tax administrations in Europe.
