Review the honours categories for the ICAEW Middle East Annual Honours Ceremony 2019.

Outstanding contribution to the profession by an individual

This category will recognise an individual who:

  • has a strong work history with clear accomplishments relevant to the improvement of the profession as a whole;
  • has taken innovative approaches to addressing challenges/issues faced by the profession;
  • holds a variety of influential positions relevant to the profession;
  • is known to be a thought leader, able to influence decisions at a high level and with high levels of personal and professional ethics;
  • is a person of gravitas and integrity.

ICAEW award for contribution to practice

Individuals will need to demonstrate their achievement in at least one of the following areas and how they have contributed to the relevant Honours category:

  • Accounting and financial reporting
  • Audit, assurance, risk and compliance
  • Financial management, corporate finance
  • Tax
  • IT
  • Insolvency 

Preference will be given to those candidates who have acted in accordance with ICAEW's core values of:

  • Ethics and integrity
  • Objectivity, independence and transparency
  • Professional competence
  • Access and diversity

ICAEW award for contribution to business

Individuals will need to demonstrate their achievement in at least one of the following areas and how they have contributed to the relevant Honours category:
