Tony transferred to the Middle East in 1998 and has gained extensive experience in audit, accounting and related advisory services.
Tony has worked with many leading local and multinational companies in Dubai including a number of Government and quasi Government organisations and local family groups.
Tony has acted as an engagement partner on many of the most significant oil and gas clients in Dubai including a number of Government owned entities. He has almost 15 years experience of auditing oil and gas companies in the Middle East.
Tony is also a member of the firm’s Middle East Technical Group which is responsible for ensuring that our teams remain current in matter related to the application of International Financial Reporting Standards.
Tony has conducted many external seminars on accounting matters pertaining to the oil and gas industry (including leading a discussion on oil and gas at the recent IASB conference in Dubai) and has been actively involved with regulators and standard setters in discussing accounting matters pertaining to these industries.
Tony has also been involved in a number of non-assurance engagements including managing the preparation of London Stock Exchange short form listing documents (including IFRS harmonisation) for a South African mining multinational and has been involved in a number of IPO’s on the Dubai Financial Market and Nasdaq-Dubai.
