ICAEW along with other legal regulators have published the findings of jointly commissioned research into the effectiveness of legal services client care letters (engagement letters). The research identified eight key principles which should be considered when preparing client care letters.
Application to regulate further reserved legal services
Our application to become an approved regulator and licensing authority for further reserved activities has been submitted to the Legal Services Board (LSB). The LSB is now reviewing our application and we hope to hear the outcome by March 2017.
