The role of the accountant has been transformed in the digital age, and as new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning continue to evolve, it will continue to change. This also has implications for the future training needs of the profession, and for those who choose to make their career in it.

The ACA is considered the premium qualification for chartered accountants, and to preserve that reputation the course content and modes of study and examination are continually assessed and adapted to meet the changing needs of the profession. With rapid advances in technology affecting the role of the accountant, as time goes on the ACA becomes even more dynamic and relevant.
