How to balance work and personal lives
When the balance between working and your personal life is out of kilter, your emotional and physical health can suffer. We explore some of the ways you can take back control.
These days it is widely accepted that there will be busy periods at work when you struggle to get out of the office. Sometimes it can be difficult to avoid taking work home with you in an effort to keep up with everything you need to get done. And with technology making work more remotely accessible than ever, it’s even easier to feel preoccupied with deadlines when you should be enjoying time with family and friends.
But when not being able to switch off from the office becomes the norm, rather than something that just happens now and again, you may feel as if life is passing you by.
Learning to spot when your work-life balance needs some attention can go a long way to protecting you from burnout and maintaining emotional and physical wellbeing.
