Irwin Mitchell has promoted Daniel Bastide to national head of corporate. Bastide is a partner in the law firm’s Gatwick office, and has a particular focus on M&A transactions and private equity investments. He has been with Irwin Mitchell for nine years, having previously spent 15 years with Thomas Eggar and five with Slaughter and May.

Taylor Wessing has recruited Martin Dowdall as financial services regulatory partner in London, from Sidley Austin. He previously worked for Allen & Overy, Linklaters and Travers Smith.

Addleshaw Goddard has recruited Michaela Watts (1) as a managing associate in its corporate team in Aberdeen, from Brodies. She previously spent 12 years with Pinsent Masons, where she trained as a solicitor. 

Natasha Hassard (2) has joined the same team as an associate, having just completed her training contract.

And in London, Alasdair McKenzie has joined the law firm as partner in its finance and projects group from Gowling. He previously worked for Allen & Overy.

Shoosmiths has recruited Jonathan Dunkley as a partner in its corporate restructuring and advisory team in London from Womble Bond Dickinson, where he led the London restructuring and insolvency team. He previously worked for Hogan Lovells and Squire Patton Boggs.

A&L Goodbody has promoted Catherine Irvine to partner in its corporate and M&A team in Belfast. She trained as a lawyer with the company and has been with them for 12 years.
