Gibson Dunn has recruited Will Summers (1) as a partner in its private equity practice in London office, and Michael Skouras (2) has joined the same team as of counsel.

Summers has joined from White & Case, where he spent 10 years and had been promoted to partner in 2022. He also spent a year with Oaktree Capital Management, having trained as a solicitor with Hogan Lovells.

Skouras has also joined from White & Case, where he spent three years. He was previously with Weil, Gotshal & Manges, which included a one-year secondment to Bain Capital. He trained as a solicitor with Shearman & Sterling.

TLT has recruited debt finance lawyer Roy Grist (1) as partner in its national banking team, from Squire Patton Boggs in Birmingham, where he spent 14 years and led the firm’s banking and finance team for 10 years. He will be based in TLT’s Birmingham office. Prior to Squire Patton Boggs, he spent seven years with Maclay Murray & Spens in Edinburgh, having trained as a solicitor with Eversheds in Leeds.

The law firm has also recruited Alex Murdie (2) as infrastructure partner in Manchester. He qualified at TLT in 2011, and has re-joined, having previously worked at Pinsent Masons and DLA Piper.

Fieldfisher has recruited Laetitia Costa as a partner in its banking and finance practice in London. Costa has more than 20 years’ experience of working with private debt fund markets in London and Paris on leveraged finance, real estate and debt restructuring transactions. She has also worked for Avonhurst, PwC and Milbank. In 2022 she founded Cred22, a lending marketplace for private debt lenders, European SMEs and mid-cap sponsors.
