Promotions and those on the move in corporate finance advisory.

PwC has promoted Lucy Stapleton (1) to global deals leader and Daniel Gallagher (2) to UK head of corporate finance. 

Stapleton joined PwC 31 years ago and trained as an ACA, before moving into corporate finance two years after qualifying with first-time passes. She became a partner in 2006, and subsequently has been UK pharmaceutical and life sciences leader, chief operating officer for deals and people leader for transaction services. She was promoted to UK deals leader in 2022. 

Manchester-based Gallagher joined PwC’s corporate finance team in 2004, was promoted to director in 2012 and partner in 2016. He has headed up the TMT sector and the Manchester office for PwC since 2021.

PwC has also recruited Jamie Peel (3) as director in its Manchester lead advisory team from Zeus Capital, where he was corporate finance director and spent 12 years. He will lead the firm’s special situations and restructuring M&A offering across the North of England. Prior to Zeus, he spent four years with KPMG, where he trained as an ACA.

Moore UK has promoted corporate finance partner Matt Meadows (1) to chair of the UK firm. Earlier this year, Meadows became managing partner of the London member firm, Moore Kingston Smith. He has been with the firm for 26 years.

Mark Lance (2) has joined as Moore UK CEO, with the aim of growing the network across the North, North West, East Anglia and the South West. He joins from The Cornhill Group, where he was CEO.

Deloitte has promoted Joe Brassington (1), Jim Craig (2), Philip Goldstein (3), Neil Goodman (4), Emma Johnston (5), Clodagh Mullins (6), Alexandre Tresgallo Pardo (7), Ben Watson (8) and Liz Wong (9) to partner in financial advisory. 

Brassington joined the firm’s London office in 2006, and trained as an ACA in audit before moving into transaction services. Infrastructure specialist Craig is based in Ipswich, and joined Deloitte four years ago from EY. Goldstein specialises in turnarounds and joined the firm two years ago from THM Partners, having previously worked for RBS and Deloitte and training as an ACA with BDO. 

Goodman is an ACA specialising in valuations, who has been with the firm 16 years. Birmingham-based transaction services partner Johnston has been with the firm nine years, and Mullins has been with the London transaction services team 12 years. 

Pardo, who works in the valuations and modelling team, has been with the firm for 18 years, initially in Italy. 

Watson joined 19 years ago, and trained as an ACA before joining transaction services. Wong also works in the London transaction services team, and joined Deloitte in Melbourne 13 years ago, where she trained as a chartered accountant.

Interpath has recruited Zohair Motiwala (1) as a director in its financial services deal advisory practice from investment bank Alantra, where he was a senior vice president of M&A in the London financial institutions group. Prior to Alantra, he spent seven years with EY and six with Deloitte, where he trained as an ACA.

Deepa Ramchandani (2) has joined the advisory firm’s financial modelling team as a managing director, from KPMG, where she was partner, head of technology business management, and part of the operational executive leadership of the UK firm. With more than 20 years’ experience in financial modelling in the UK, Singapore and India, she will help grow Interpath’s data and technology offering.

Interpath has acquired the restructuring business of KPMG in France in a transaction that will be completed later this year. At the same time the firm has launched a Paris office, headed up by Barema Bocoum (3), who has joined from KPMG, where he spent 22 years, most recently as Paris based head of restructuring for the EMEA region. 

Also joining from KPMG in Paris are: Benjamin Tarac as partner and head of transaction services; Guilhem Maguin as partner and head of private equity; Marc Civita as transaction services managing director; Florent Steck as deal advisory managing director; Jack Rupchandani as managing director; and Mehdi Dihi as director in financial due diligence and valuation services. 

Lauren Goodenough has also joined as director from Paris-based tech investor D’Ornano – she previously spent seven years with KPMG. 

At the start of 2025, Amanda Blackhall O’Sullivan will be joining Interpath as a managing director in its financial restructuring team, from EY Parthenon, where she was a turnaround and restructuring strategy partner.

Rob Wallace has joined Gambit Corporate Finance as partner from Deloitte, where he was a lead advisory M&A director and spent 14 years, initially training as an ACA.

Abi Godfrey has joined Grant Thornton in Manchester as corporate finance director. She has joined from Deloitte’s Manchester office, where she spent 11 years and trained as an ACA in audit, before moving into corporate finance.

PKF Francis Clark has promoted Chris Bishop (1) to corporate finance director in its Exeter office. And in its Bristol transaction services team, Nathan Holland (2) has been promoted to associate director and Chris Harper (3) to manager. 

Bishop has been with the firm for 13 years and qualified as an ACA in audit, before moving into corporate finance in 2014. Holland joined the firm as a transaction services manager in 2022 from EY in Bristol, where he trained as a chartered accountant. Harper joined in 2022 from BDO and is also an ACA.

Moore Kingston Smith has recruited Guy Taylor as corporate finance partner and head of debt advisory services. An FCA, he has joined from Alantra, where he spent nine years and was a debt advisory director. He previously worked for CIT and Clydesdale Bank.

Dan Renton has joined Park Place in Leeds as a corporate finance partner from Deloitte, where he spent 18 years advising on M&A in Yorkshire and the north east. Prior to that he spent 13 years with PwC, where he trained as an ACA.

Richard Parsons has joined Lincoln International as head of financial sponsor coverage in the UK, from Deloitte, where he spent 13 years and was head of private equity coverage. Prior to that, he spent 11 years with Hawkpoint (now Canaccord Genuity), having started his career and qualifying as an ACA with Deloitte.

Ross O’Riordan (1) has joined HMT as corporate finance associate director in London from Deloitte in Dublin, where he was an associate director in M&A advisory. He spent two years with Deloitte, and prior to that six years with BDO in Dublin, where he trained as a chartered accountant before moving into corporate finance.

HMT has also promoted Hamish Pearson (2), Luisa Taroni (3) and Ben Traves (4) to senior manager, and Todd Muil (5) to executive in its corporate finance team.

Pearson joined the Henley-on-Thames office as an executive in 2020 from Grant Thornton, where he spent five years and trained as an ACA. In 2022, he was promoted to manager and moved to the London office. 

Taroni joined the Henley-on-Thames office last year as a manager from Azets, where she spent four years. She trained as an ACA with Dains Accountants. 

Traves joined the firm’s Henley-on-Thames office in 2019 as an analyst from Ocean Partners, and was promoted to executive in 2021 and to manager in 2022. 

Muil joined the London corporate finance team last year as an analyst and is training as an ACA.

Kenny Hughes has joined Inicio Corporate Finance as a managing director specialising in debt advisory, from SME Capital, where he was head of structured finance. He previously worked for ThinCats, Metro Bank and RBS.

Forvis Mazars has recruited Tatham Crawford-Lennox as director of people and culture in the UK. The firm aims to continue to improve inclusivity and diversity, including in its corporate finance and transactions advisory teams.

BDO has appointed Andrew Radford national head of professional services, succeeding Nick Carter-Pegg. Radford has been with the firm 20 years and has advised private equity-backed, main market and AIM-listed businesses.

BTG Advisory has recruited Felix Connolly as partner in its special situations M&A advisory team in London. He has joined from private equity firm Endless, where he led the development of its SME investment fund, Enact, in London and the South. 

Prior to his four years at Endless, he spent six years with BDO, developing its UK special situations M&A team. He previously worked for RBS and Grant Thornton in Cambridge, having first trained as an ACA with KPMG in Birmingham.
