Connections: legal advisory appointments and promotions

TLT has recruited corporate finance and M&A specialist Andrew Glaze (1) as partner in its Birmingham office, from Squire Patton-Boggs. He previously worked for SGH Martineau and Wragge & Co in Birmingham. He advises on upper mid-market M&A, in the UK and internationally, public takeovers and equity market fundraisings.

The law firm has also recruited Ben Player (2) from Osborne Clarke. He has joined as a partner in its Bristol-based financial services regulation team.

Gibson Dunn has recruited Simon Tysoe (1) as partner in its M&A, energy and infrastructure, and oil and gas practice groups in London. He has joined from Latham & Watkins, where he spent 10 years. He previously spent 12 years with Herbert Smith Freehills, where he started his training contract.

The firm has also recruited Sebastian Fain (2) in New York, as M&A partner and co-head of the cross-border M&A service line. He has joined from Freshfields, where he spent eight years. Before that he was at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.

Taylor Wessing has recruited Max Millington as partner in its London banking and finance team. His expertise is in private credit and sponsor-side advisory. He has joined from Pinsent Masons, and he previously worked for Osborne Clarke and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
