Promotions and those on the move in corporate finance advisory.

PKF Francis Clark has promoted Nick Tippett (1) and Matt Willmott (2) to partner in its corporate finance team. Tippett joined the firm’s corporate finance team as a senior associate from Bishop Fleming, where he trained as an ACA in the audit team. He works across the firm’s Bristol and Plymouth offices. Matt Willmott joined the firm in 2007 as a graduate, and trained as an ACA in audit, before moving into its M&A advisory team. Based in Exeter, he also holds the ICAEW Corporate Finance Qualification.

RSM has promoted Mark Leyland (1) and Graham Weston (2) to partner in its deal services team. Leyland specialises in transaction services and joined the firm as an associate director from Schroders, where he spent three years. Prior to that he spent three years with State Street and before that four years in transaction services with PwC. Weston joined the firm four years ago from EY, where he trained as a chartered accountant.

The firm has also promoted Alex Pike (3) to Reading office managing partner. A deal services partner, he joined RSM eight years ago, and was promoted to partner in 2020.

Restructuring advisory specialist Glen Carter (4) has also been promoted to partner at RSM.

HMT has promoted Ricky Lane to corporate finance partner. He joined HMT as an associate director in 2017 from Grant Thornton’s Thames Valley practice, where he spent 14 years and trained as an ACA in audit, before moving into transaction services.

Darren Boocock has joined Cavendish in Birmingham as a corporate finance partner from Deloitte, where he led its Midlands corporate finance business. He spent 24 years with Deloitte and before that two years in corporate finance with KPMG.

PwC has recruited Hugh Man to partner in its London corporate finance team, to advise on insurance sector deals. He joins from investment bank Jefferies International where he was a managing director and head of EMEA insurance M&A advisory. Before Jefferies, he held the same position at Credit Suisse. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance and financial services sector.

Ashpreet Sethi has joined EY-Parthenon as a partner in the firm’s sustainability and ESG due diligence team in London. He has more than 20 years’ experience in investment banking, most recently as a managing director at NatWest Markets, leading its ESG ratings advisory and balance sheet advisory team. He previously worked at the Bank of America.

PEM Corporate Finance has promoted Darren Hagan (1) to assistant director and Jan Ansari (2) to senior analyst, and has also recruited Asaad Khan (3) in Birmingham as assistant manager.

Hagan joined the Cambridge office as a manager in 2024 from Bishopsgate Corporate Finance. Prior to that he trained as an ACA with Grant Thornton. Ansari joined as a graduate in September 2022 and is training as an ACA. Khan has joined from Jaguar Land Rover, where he was a senior financial analyst. Prior to that he trained as an ACA with Mazars.

Following the recruitment of Chris Lowe as a partner, managing director and head of capital advisory at the start of 2025, AlixPartners has recruited six more staff to its corporate finance and capital advisory team.

Andrew Cruickshank (1) has joined as a director and Rohan Metha (2) as a senior vice president from Deloitte; Zainne Bilgrami (3) as a senior vice-president from DC Advisory; Aileen Wu (4) as a vice president from Commonwealth Bank of Australia; and Anna Charteris-Black (5) and Rachel Goldstein (6) as consultants from PwC and Shore Capital Markets respectively.

Cruickshank spent 10 years with Deloitte and before that worked for GE Capital and Banco Santander. Before spending five years with Deloitte, Metha worked for Grant Thornton. Bilgrami worked for Canaccord Genuity, Financo and Societe Generale before DC Advisory. Wu spent four years with Macquarie in Brisbane before joining the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in 2021.

Dow Schofield Watts has recruited Matilda Parker-Allotey (1) as an associate director and promoted Ishan Sharda (2) to manager in its Midlands corporate finance team. 

Parker-Allotey has joined from the Bank of Ghana, having previously worked in deal advisory at EY, PwC and KPMG. Sharda joined the team in Leicester in June 2024 as a corporate finance executive from Azets in Nottingham, where he spent three years in audit. Prior to that he spent six years with Grant Thornton, where he trained as an accountant.

In its transaction services team the advisory firm has promoted Declan Littler (3) to manager, Peter Sexton (4) to assistant manager and Madeleine Andrews (5) to senior analyst.

Littler joined the team in the North West as an executive in 2023 from PwC in Manchester, where he trained as an ACA in its audit team. Sexton joined the team in London as an executive in 2023, from Deloitte in Birmingham, where he trained as an ACA. Andrews joined the Manchester office in 2022, and is training as an ACA.

The firm has also appointed Shru Morris (6) as its CEO. She joined in August 2024 as deputy CEO from Pick Everard, where she was FD. She has been serving as CEO designate since November 2024. She trained as an ACA with Baker Tilly (now MHA).

In Cardiff, DSW has recruited Josh Morris (7) as an analyst in its corporate finance team. He previously worked at Prydis Accounting and Wealth in Exeter.

Price Bailey has promoted Eleanor Lothian to senior manager in its strategic corporate finance team. She has been with the firm 10 years, initially training as an ACA.

Matt Williams has been promoted to corporate finance manager at Corbett Keeling. He joined as an analyst in 2023, after spending seven years as a professional rugby player with London Irish. Williams features in this month’s Career Paths.

Anthesis has promoted Lana Baker-Cowling to senior consultant. She is a specialist in sustainable finance, climate and ESG strategy for financial institutions, working primarily with private equity firms and their portfolio companies. She joined the advisory firm in 2022, having previously worked for Carbon Limits AS, Bouygues Energies & Services and Argentis Capital.
