Who’s on the move or been promoted in legal advisory.

Travers Smith has promoted Eve Dwyer (1) to senior counsel in the private equity and financial sponsors group, and Nick Glynn (2) and Matt Humphreys (3) to senior counsel in the financial services and markets group respectively. 

Dwyer joined the firm seven years ago from Addleshaw Goddard, where she trained as a lawyer. She leads the department’s contribution to Travers Smith’s ESG and impact service line, and is a member of the AI working group. 

Glynn joined Travers Smith in 2015 and trained as a lawyer. Humphreys joined the firm five years ago from Shearman & Sterling, where he trained as a lawyer.

TLT has recruited digital transformation and AI specialist Tom Sharpe (1) as a partner in its London office from Osborne Clarke, where he advised clients on large-scale technology-related transactions. Prior to Osborne Clarke, he was at Slaughter and May. 

TLT in Birmingham has also recruited real estate lawyer Kay Desai (2) as a partner from Gowling.

Haynes Boone has recruited seven cross-border capital markets lawyers in London, all from Memery Crystal. Nick Davis (1) has joined as partner and co-head of the London office. Edward Baker (2), Robert Bines-Black (3) and Nick Heap (4) have joined as partner; Natalie Georgiou as legal director; David McClellan as senior associate; and Ravina Mahajan as associate.

Davis has spent the past 24 years with Memery Crystal, advising on capital markets transactions, public and private M&A and public company listings on both the Main Market and AIM. He sits on the AIM advisory panel.

Baker led the Memery Crystal public M&A team. Prior to spending seven years with Memery Crystal, Bines-Black worked for Rosenblatt. He sits on the advisory panel of Aquis, the UK challenger stock exchange. Prior to Memery Crystal, Heap worked for Armstrong Teasdale, Bird & Bird and Fieldfisher.
