Slaughter & May has promoted David Griffith-Jones (1) and Jack Wharton (2) to corporate partner in London. Griffith-Jones joined in 2021 from Sullivan & Cromwell, where he trained as a solicitor. Wharton joined Slaughter & May in 2013, and trained as a solicitor with the firm.
TLT has recruited Andrzej Wieckowski as a partner in its financial services regulatory team from PwC, where he spent three years in its legal services team. Prior to that he spent six years with Allan & Overy and before that, four years at Macfarlanes, where he trained as a solicitor.
Haynes Boone has recruited Lesley Gregory as a corporate partner in London. She moves from Memery Crystal after 42 years, where she trained as a solicitor and then held extensive executive management roles.
Gibson Dunn has recruited James O’Donnell (1) as a partner and Hannah Watson Fanin (2) as counsel in its London investment funds practice group, both from DLA Piper. Prior to DLA Piper, O’Donnell spent seven years with Debevoise & Plimpton, having trained as a solicitor with Allen & Overy. Originally from the Netherlands, Watson Fanin worked for FMO (the Dutch development bank) for four years, before joining DLA Piper in London.
