S&W has recruited Jonathan Broadis to its transactions practice as partner and UK head of value creation. Co-located in London and Manchester, he was previously at Tata Consultancy Services, where he was UK M&A consulting lead. His experience is in financial, operational and technology due diligence, pre- and post-deal integration. Prior to Tata, Broadis was a partner at Deloitte in Canada and Chile, and before that worked for KPMG and Deloitte, and spent nine years in transaction services at PwC.
Alper Dervish has joined Azets in Birmingham as corporate finance partner from BDO, where he spent six years and was corporate finance director. Prior to that he spent four years at NEST Capital & Consultancy, which he founded, two years at Clearwater Corporate Finance and eight in KPMG’s Birmingham transaction services team, where he trained as an ACA.
KPMG has recruited Pukar Mehta to lead its media strategy team, which is part of KPMG’s deal advisory business. He will advise on growth strategies, M&A and post-deal integration plans. He was most recently an independent consultant. Prior to that, he spent 14 years with ITV and eight years in KPMG’s M&A strategy group.
Forvis Mazars has promoted Josh Thorneycroft to partner and head of debt advisory. He joined Mazars in 2013 and spent seven years in corporate finance and debt advisory, before joining the special situations team at UK Government Investments. He was then business development director at Arbuthnot Latham for two years, before rejoining Forvis Mazars as a director in 2022.
FRP has recruited Dan Jonas from Azets as transaction services partner. Jonas joined Wilkins Kennedy in 2008, and trained as an ACA in the audit team before moving into corporate finance. WK Corporate Finance was taken over by Azets in 2020.
PKF Francis Clark has promoted Rob Gear to partner in its deal advisory team. He joined the firm’s Exeter office in 2013 from EY, where he spent seven years. Prior to that he spent four years at Bishop Fleming, where he trained as a chartered accountant.
Ensors, which was acquired by Azets last month, has promoted Ben Croston to associate partner in its corporate finance and forensics team in Cambridge. He joined the firm’s Cambridge office in 2014 from Scrutton Bland, where he trained as an accountant.
RSM has made four promotions to director in its deal services business across the UK: Nick Arnold (1) in Southampton; Salik Chaturbhai (2) in London; David Rowlinson (3) in Gatwick; and Chas Ruprai (4) in Birmingham. Arnold joined the transaction services team eight years ago from KPMG, where he trained as an ACA; Chaturbhai came from Aquaa Partners in 2018; Rawlinson joined in 2017 from BDO, where he trained as an ACA; and Ruprai previously worked for PwC.
Amy Wright has been promoted to debt advisory director at Grant Thornton in Manchester. She joined the firm two years ago as associate director from RBS, where she’d spent 14 years, having started as a graduate trainee before working in portfolio management and, most recently, structured finance.
George Thresh has been promoted to transaction services director at Buzzacott. He joined the firm’s audit team in London in 2014 and trained as an ACA, before moving into corporate finance.
Cortus Advisory has recruited Chris Millington (1) and Harpal Sidhu (2), as associate director and transaction services executive respectively, in Birmingham. Millington has joined from Grant Thornton, where he spent six years in transaction services in Leeds and then Birmingham; prior to that, he trained as an ACA at Deloitte in Leeds. Sidhu has joined from Deloitte, where he trained as an ACA in audit.
Interpath Advisory has promoted Thomas Rawlinson (1) to managing director. Rawlinson joined the firm’s transaction services team as a director in 2023, then relocated from London to Edinburgh. Prior to Interpath he spent 10 years at FTI Consulting, specialising in private equity transactions. The firm has also promoted Rob Allard (2) to managing director in its value creation team. He joined from KPMG in 2022. Ex-Deloitte restructuring expert Brendan O’Reilly (3) has been promoted to managing director.
Alex Thompson has joined Ecology Group as M&A director. He was previously M&A director at MarktLink; before that, he spent four years with Provantage Corporate Finance as a lead adviser and three years with PKF Smith Cooper, having trained as an ACA with Streets Chartered Accountants.
Ryecroft Glenton has promoted Connor McBride to corporate finance director. He is based in Newcastle upon Tyne and joined the firm six years ago from PwC in Belfast.
Alantra has recruited Ed Wirgman as managing director in its technology investment banking practice from Houlihan Lokey, where he was a managing director in the European technology group. Prior to that, he was a managing director at Oakley Advisory, head of TMT at Spectrum Corporate Finance, and spent a decade at KPMG, where he led the TMT corporate finance group nationally.
Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has recruited Mike Beadle (1), as a managing director in its London debt advisory team, from Deutsche Numis, where he was head of debt advisory. He previously worked for Terra Firma, Barclays and Rothschild. He started his career with Arthur Andersen (now Accenture), where he trained as an ACA.
In France, A&M has recruited Frédéric Meyer (2), as managing director in its Paris-based M&A team, from DC Advisory, where he spent 21 years. He specialises in healthcare and life sciences.
Barbara Ronconi (3) has joined the Milan corporate finance team, as an M&A managing director, from Equita, where she was head of consumer for Italy. She also previously worked for GCA Altium, Credit Suisse and JP Morgan Chase.
The advisory firm has also recruited Heinrich Kerstien (4), as a managing director in its debt advisory team in Frankfurt, from Clearwater Corporate Finance. He previously worked for Rothschild and Deutsche Bank.
