Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
On this page, the Financial Reporting Faculty provides an overview of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures and associated recommendations. It also signposts practical guidance and other relevant resources.
What is the TCFD?
The TCFD is the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures. The Task Force was convened by the Financial Stability Board to produce a common global framework for companies wishing to report how climate change will affect their business.
What are the TCFD’s recommendations?
The TCFD recommendations provide guidance to companies on how to report the potential financial impacts from climate change on their business. This differs from the approach taken by many businesses that focus on reporting the impact of their organisation on the environment.
For more information about the recommendations, please read our practical guide produced in collaboration with The Carbon Trust.
