Get ready for Charity Fraud Awareness Week
ICAEW is proud to be supporting Charity Fraud Awareness Week which is taking place 21 - 25 October 2019.
Now in its fourth year, the week brings together everyone involved in the charity and not-for-profit sectors to raise awareness and share good practice in tackling fraud and financial crime. The award-winning campaign (which won outstanding international collaboration at the Government counter fraud awards earlier this year) is led by a coalition of more than 40 charities, regulators, law enforcers, professional advisers, representative bodies and other not-for-profit stakeholders from the UK and around the world.
This year, in addition to the social media campaign, ICAEW will be hosting a live event on the Monday morning at Chartered Accountants’ Hall to launch the findings of the latest Charity Commission / Fraud Advisory Panel fraud survey results (Helen Stephenson will be speaking) and a one-stop-shop virtual environment where you can access information on charity fraud prevention. This will include; a selection pre-recorded webinars; live Q&A sessions with sector experts (a live stream of the launch event for those who can’t attend in person); case studies, practical tutorials, and helpsheets that you can download and share.
