Further information

The annual publication Key facts and trends in the accountancy profession is produced by the Financial Reporting Council (FRC).

It provides statistical information and analysis of the six major accountancy bodies including members, students, income and staffing. Given the specific remit of POB in relation to audit there is also information on the fee income of the major UK audit firms, numbers and size of audit registered firms and concentration of listed companies' audits.
