France's contact member

Jonathan Benford is the Contact Member for France. He is the point of contact for members' enquiries and acts as an ambassador in promoting the ICAEW's strategy and brand within France.

Biography

Having graduated from Cambridge University, Jonathan joined Dixon Wilson in 1986. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989 and subsequently spent two years in the Paris office of the company. Appointed Partner in 1995, he returned to the Paris office in 1997 and qualified as an Expert Comptable in 1999. He acts for a broad range of clients in France and also provides tax advice and compliance services on a large number of non-resident issues.

Jonathan is Treasurer of the Paris branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, correspondent member of the Institut des Avocats Conseils Fiscaux (IACF) and was Secretary to the Association of British Accountants in France (ABAF) from 2010 to 2017. 

The Association of British Accountants in France is the ICAEW member group in France. Its website provides information and help for ICAEW members wishing to come to France either to work in practice or in industry and commerce. The ABAF committee would be very pleased to try and answer any queries that members may have.
