Government to launch future strategy for asset managers
The UK government is to set up a new strategy to identify long-term opportunities for asset managers, according to a lengthy document accompanying the Chancellor’s 2017 Budget.
The intention is to find ways for the UK’s £7trn investment management sector to flourish as fund houses gear up for Brexit.
The document says the government will publish a plan to ensure the UK asset management industry “continues to thrive and deliver the best possible outcomes for investors and the UK economy.
