ICAEW assessment of UK IFRS implementation for the United Nations

In June 2008 the United Nations invited the ICAEW to provide a detailed assessment of UK experience in implementing International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

The report provides an overview of the financial reporting system in the UK, reviews the UK’s experience of IFRS implementation and highlights some lessons learned.

It will be presented on 5 November 2008 to the UN Conference on Trade and Development's Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR) by Nigel Sleigh-Johnson, Head of the ICAEW Financial Reporting Faculty, at the ISAR's annual assembly in Geneva.

The report was published in the name of the UN with reference to the substantial contribution of the ICAEW.
