What is ICAEW Foundation?
ICAEW Foundation launched in 2007 and, with the support of ICAEW members, the charity is helping to shape the future of the profession by creating life-changing opportunities for students from financially challenged backgrounds.
We have raised £2.6m but still have a challenging way to go to reach our goal of £10m. Your help is needed to reach our goal and to ensure we can continue to support young people across the UK and in developing economies to have the career you have.
ICAEW Foundation bursary programmes
Through our Changing Futures bursary programme we are assisting aspiring students in universities across the UK, as well as in Cyprus and Hong Kong, to study for a degree in accountancy and finance. Please see details of our 2018 programme on our website and on each university’s site.
In recent years we have grown our geographical reach and our Building Futures programme now gives bursaries to a growing number of talented and ambitious students of new chartered professional accountancy qualifications in countries such as Ghana and Malawi.
In 2018, ICAEW President, Paul Aplin launched Challenge Ten to ICAEW members seeking their financial support for the provision of ten new ICAEW Foundation Building Futures bursaries in new countries..
The Foundation is seeking funding to support a number of students to study towards obtaining professional chartered accountancy qualifications in Lesotho and in Cambodia. These new local qualifications were developed with assistance from ICAEW’s International Capacity Building team towards building a world of strong economies.
