How to access your firm’s annual return

When you access your firm’s annual return, you will be asked to log in with your username, which is your firm’s ‘C0’ number, and your password.

If you have forgotten your password, simply click on ‘Forgotten your password’, enter your email address and then press ‘Recover your Password’. An email will be sent to your email address providing you with a link and instructions to change your password.

Reporting changes to the structure of your firm

If there are any changes to the structure of your firm, you must notify us promptly.

For changes to regulated practices, please ensure you complete and return the standing data changes form to regulatorysupport@icaew.com within 10 business days.

For changes to unregulated practice, please notify our members records team.

Please do not use the annual return for this purpose as you will be in breach of the Practice Assurance Regulations.

How to complete your firm’s annual return

I can't find my insurer listed on the annual return, what should I do?
Insurers can become participating insurers throughout the year which means sometimes they will not be listed at question PII13a on the Annual Return but still appear on the participating insurers list. This will prevent you being able to submit the annual return.

In these circumstances, please send a copy of your policy schedule via email to annualreturns@icaew.com with your firm name and number in the subject line. We can then add this to your annual return and submit the return on your behalf. You will receive a confirmation email when this has been actioned.

If your insurer isn't listed on the annual return or the participating insurers list, then they may not be an eligible insurer. The annual return does not list Managing General Agents and you should provide the name of the capacity providers instead (which need to be participating insurers). Your broker can usually assist you with this. If you are still unsure, email pii@icaew.com with a copy of your policy schedule and policy wording and we can advise you further.
