Robot to create jobs
A staggering 133 million jobs will be created thanks to the arrival of robots in the workplace, according to a report from the World Economic Forum.
This would appear to run counter to the numerous headlines saying robots are taking our jobs. Although, the report does concede this is also likely with robots displacing 75 million jobs.
The Swiss think tank argues that robots and algorithms would vastly improve the productivity of existing jobs and lead to many new ones in the coming years. As a result we would see more data analysts, software developers and social media specialists, as well as job roles based on “distinctively human traits” such as customer service.
