Biography
Howard is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, and a partner at Shorts, based in their offices in Chesterfield and Sheffield.
After 11 years with Coopers & Lybrand / PwC in Sheffield, Howard joined Shorts as a partner in 2003, acting for SME clients, covering audit, accounting, tax and general business advice.
Howard was President of the Sheffield & District Society of Chartered Accountants in 2017/18 and is a member of ICAEW Practice Committee.
He is Chair of Audit Committee and member of corporation of a local further education college, and is a Guardian of the Standard of Wrought Plate at the Sheffield Assay Office.
Outside of work, Howard is a keen golfer, and a season ticket holder at Sheffield United.
