Last call for practising certificates

Author: ICAEW Insights

Published: 12 Apr 2024

Members requiring a practising certificate have just over two weeks left to apply for one – and avoid the risk of disciplinary action.

The practising certificate amnesty period comes to an end on 30 April 2024. After this date, any member who requires a practising certificate, but hasn’t applied for one could face disciplinary action.

All members should review the updated ICAEW Statement on members engaging in public practice, that came into effect on 1 January this year, to check if they need a practising certificate and, if they do, apply for one by 30 April.

ICAEW Quality Assurance Manager Chris Greenhalgh says: “This really is the last call for members to check the requirements and make sure that they apply for a practising certificate if they need one.

“ICAEW’s Advisory Services team are here to help if you need any support or advice. You can call them on +44 (0)1908 248 250.”
