This updated Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) reflects the changes to FRS 102 resulting from the Periodic Review 2024 amendments issued by the FRC in March 2024. The provisions of this SORP are applicable for accounting periods commencing on or after 1 January 2026. Early adoption is permitted as described in Chapter 17 ‘Transition to the Housing SORP 2026’ if the accounts direction of the relevant regulator permits it.
The SORP includes the following model documents as appendices:
- Consolidated statement of comprehensive income
- Consolidated statement of financial position
- Consolidated statement of changes in reserves
- Consolidated statement of cash flows.
