Gerald Russell FCA
Gerald Russell is Deputy President of the ICAEW.
Gerald retired from Ernst & Young where he was Chairman of the Non-Executive Director Programme, a member of the UK firm’s Governing Council and Vice Chair of the EY/CBI’s Audit Committee Chairman Chair Forum.
His whole career since leaving Ampleforth College has been with Ernst & Young and its predecessor firms. He joined the firm in 1969, qualified in 1973 and became a partner in 1983. He was Regional Managing Partner in London from 1998 to 2004 and audit partner for two FTSE 100 companies.
Gerald is a trustee of Action for Children and Chairman of its Finance Committee. He is also a council member of the Institute of Directors, a Governor of Notre Dame School for Girls, Cobham and visiting speaker to the Cranfield Business School’s Non Executive Director and Corporate Governance programme.
