Document Supply Service

The Library & Information Service provides a document delivery service for members and students using our collection of over 40,000 books and 250 journals. We can post, fax or email (if the material is available in electronic format) you journal articles, extracts from books and model documents (within the limits of copyright law).

You can use the library catalogue, LibCat, to find details of all the books held in the library as well as over 50,000 abstracts of journal articles. If you do not find the material you need, please contact our enquiry team who will help you to track it down.

Then, simply contact the Library Enquiry Service on 020 7920 8620 or library@icaew.com to request a copy of the document.

Charges & Delivery Times

Same day despatch if a request is received by 3 p.m. and the source document is in stock. Payment by credit/debit card or invoice.

Photocopies sent by 1st class post to a UK address:
- Up to 5 pages £4.00+VAT
- Each further 5 pages or part, up to 30 pages £3.00+VAT
- Each 5 pages or part, thereafter £2.00+VAT

Photocopies sent by fax to a UK address:
- Up to 5 pages £5.00+VAT
- Each further 5 pages or part, up to 30 pages £3.50+VAT
- Each 5 pages or part, thereafter £2.50+VAT

Documents sent by email:
- £5.00 for the first document
- £3.00 for subsequent documents

Please note that email delivery is only available if the LIS holds an electronically published version of the title and the licence allows email delivery.

Discount
A 20% discount is available on the above charges for members in education, unemployed members and Registered Students.

How much can be copied?

Book Extracts
Photocopies of extracts from books held by the LIS can be supplied; 1 chapter of a publication (or 5%, whichever is greater)

Journal Articles
Photocopies of journal articles held by the LIS can be supplied; 1 article from any single issue of a journal.

These service are provided under the terms of the licences and permissions held by the LIS. There may be some titles which are not covered by these arrangements.

Non-members

We can supply documents to non-members by post or fax. Payment is required in advance by non-members for all services. Further information on non-member charges can be found on our charges page.
