About the committee

The Business Law Committee helps ICAEW in its mission to improve the regulatory environment in the UK. We have a long-term project to look at overarching issues such as how the regulatory regime is supposed to work where it succeeds, where it fails and how it could be improved, with reference to practical examples of law and regulation that impact our members in practice or business. The Committee also provides its insights on specific legal or regulatory proposals impacting our members where principles of good regulation are at stake, working with other relevant areas in ICAEW. We aim always to act in the public interest.
