December Professional Level exams – remote invigilation

If you are sitting a December Professional Level exam via remote invigilation please ensure you ‘Allow all cookies’ if you are served a pop-up window on the ICAEW exams webpage. You will be able to clear your cookies after the exam session should you wish to remove these. For any queries or guidance on this please contact the Student Support team.

If you are sitting a December Professional Level exam via remote invigilation we recommend you update the Proctor Exam app to the latest version as it has recently been updated. If you have already completed your system check you will not need to complete this again.

Credit for Prior Learning

We are aware of an issue relating to our Credit for Prior Learning pages. We are looking into this as a matter of urgency. The Credit for Prior Learning directory page is still available should you need to check if you are eligible for exemptions. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

November Advanced Level exams - Remote invigilation

We are aware of an issue with the Strategic Business Management exam where some remote invigilation students are experiencing connection issues with their mobile phone and may receive an error message. We advise that you ignore this error message and continue with your exam, which continues to work as it should.

November Advanced Level exams - International exam centre guidance

Ahead of the November Advanced Level exams next week, please ensure you have reviewed the international exam centre guidance for any COVID requirements.

Student and new member admissions 3-4 November

We are aware of an issue with welcome emails and web access for new student and new member admissions, and are looking into this as a matter of urgency. A further update will be added here on Monday. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.

November Advanced Level exams (9 November) – UK rail and London tube strikes – further industrial action

We are aware of the further industrial action taking place and the revised UK strike dates are 5, 7 and 9 November. Rail services for 6, 8 and 10 November are likely to be disrupted, including running later than usual in the mornings. We are also aware of London Underground strikes on 7 and 9 November. Please ensure you plan your journey to your exam centre in advance and leave plenty of time to arrive at your exam centre 30 minutes before the exam starts. November Advanced Level exams – Remote invigilation

There is a new version of the Proctor Exam app for both Android and iOS devices. Both the old and the new versions will work so there is no need to update the app ahead of the November session. The functionality in both versions is the same.

Accessing data analytics practice software

We are aware of an issue accessing the data analytics software within the practice software earlier this week. This has now been resolved and we would like to assure you that the issue was isolated to the practice software. We would like to apologise to you for any inconvenience and stress this has caused.

Certificate Level / ICAEW CFAB exams - 24 October

We have been informed of an issue which affected some students sitting a remotely invigilated Certificate Level / ICAEW CFAB exam on Monday 24 October. We would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and stress this may have caused. The issue has now been resolved and is being investigated as a matter of priority. We have contacted all affected students.

Professional and Advanced Level online practice software - maintenance

Maintenance work will be taking place on the online practice software on Wednesday 26 October between 04:30 and 09:00 (UK-time.) While the online practice software can still be accessed and used during this time, the work will mean there may be interruptions to the service during this time.

Our student support helpline will be closed 14:30 - 17:00 (UK-time) due to essential system maintenance. It will reopen on Monday at our standard opening hours. December Professional Level exam booking window – non-GBP currency credit card payments

Unfortunately, we are unable to process payments via a non-GBP currency credit card during the December Professional Level exam booking window. Students will be able to make payments using a Debit or Credit Card or Alipay (China only). Please do accept our apologies for the inconvenience this may cause.
