Biography
James is Fellow of ICAEW. He was trained and qualified as Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in London. Subsequently, he worked on both group and business unit levels in FTSE-listed companies in a wide range of industries, including media (London), property (Hong Kong) and supermarket retail (Singapore), prior to joining IKEA in 2018. He is currently the Finance Director of IKEA, responsible for the Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Indonesia markets.
James has extensive international experience. He was born and brought up in Hong Kong, then spent 14 years in the UK for work and education. James read Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. Having worked in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Indonesia, he is currently based in Hong Kong.
