Biography

Rebecca is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant. Having trained in London with a top 20 firm, she took up a post in a manufacturing company as chief accountant, reporting to the Financial Director. She later returned to the firm she trained with as Training Manager, responsible for training graduate entrants and developing the in house CPD programme.

On taking maternity leave, she set up in practice and also started a training and writing business, focussed on tax. This continues and Rebecca has lectured to a huge number of accountants throughout the UK and also business people, HMRC and Treasury staff. She has been involved on a voluntary basis in the MTD project since early 2016 and attends events as a guest of HMRC to advise accountants on the practical impact of the changes.

Rebecca is a member of the Admin Burdens Advisory Board and was awarded an MBE in 2012 for services to the tax profession.
