Helene Dunbar is the Contact Member for Denmark. She is your single point of contact for members' enquiries and acts as an ambassador in promoting the ICAEW's strategy and brand within Denmark.

Helene is currently a Chief Advisor with the Danish Business Agency as part of the audit oversight team. Prior to joining DBA, Helene has a long career in industry in Denmark, working in various financial positions before moving into software development (audit tools).

Helene trained with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Milton Keynes and spent 13 years with the firm as an auditor, first in the UK, where she qualified as an ACA, subsequently in Denmark, where she passed the conversion exam for the Danish authorization as a State Authorized Public Accountant. Helene is a Danish national, married to a Scot, hence the surname. She has personal experience with the issues that can arise from a move to or from a country, having done so from both the UK and Denmark. She also appreciates how difficult it can be to learn Danish whilst pursuing a career in Denmark.

When not working Helene enjoys running with CH3 (Copenhagen Hash House Harriers), learning new skills and spending time with friends and family.
