ICAEW’s website is the key touchpoint between the Institute and our members. Our member survey in 2024 revealed that 78% of respondents had visited icaew.com in the preceding 12 months. 

The website is a window into the breadth and depth of ICAEW’s support for its members, students and the wider finance and business communities. 

It is not only the portal through which members and students manage their profiles and administration activities, it holds swathes of resources to support practitioners throughout their careers. These include:

• Student and employer support.
• Analysis of the latest accountancy developments.
• Technical and ethical guidance.
• Original research, including the Business Confidence Monitor.
• Library information and enquiry services.
• Sectoral and community support.
• Information on qualifications and training.
• Regulations and standards.
• Professional development.
• Benefits and discounts.

This variety of content can present a challenge when trying to locate something specific and ICAEW is undertaking research to improve that experience.

We need members to complete a 10-minute online exercise to help us get the navigation and the labels we use correct.

The activity involves sharing where you believe a piece of content would be located on the website, using a simplified version of the navigation menu. 

The results will help us to test our proposed restructure of icaew.com and identify where our plans might need further changes.
